Today every Indian celebrates the 73rd Republic day (Platinum Jubilee of Republic day). Our country is ready for the next step. According to the elders in the 19th century Republic Day and Independence Day were celebrated like Diwali. In the past, 15th August and 26th January were the student's and workers' most favorite days. No, they were not excited about the Government holiday that time everyone was used to being excited about flag hoisting, students rallies, area-wise programs, military parades, etc., etc. Everyone was used to trying to showcase - show off their art skills on this historical day as 26th January and 15 August was a precious feeling for them.
In 19th century Republic, day or Independence day mornings was always
begun with three colors rainbow in the sky moreover sky was used to be adorned
with trio balloons, National anthem tunes, trio color dresses, specific
uniforms for students and workers, road rallies with India's flags,
Independence day sessions at various places, etc., etc. Kids used to be super
happy on this day as they used to get toffees from schools so, they used to be
excited about that as well. At that time, everyone used to feel that we have become
Independent on this day that is why they used to celebrate this day with
proper joy. Now let’s talk about the 20th century even though we are super
independent and advanced in every way, every technology still it is rare to see
that kind of feeling of pride on everyone's face. As long as, everyone is
celebrating our Republic or Independence Day on their 30 seconds WhatsApp
status or Instagram stories. Right? It's the eternal truth of this social media
world.
At the
present, people used to celebrate this kind of day on WhatsApp, Instagram,
Facebook, etc., etc. Just posting the status on WhatsApp makes them think that
they have celebrated the day or festival, but why people do not understand? The
significance - importance of these days. Moreover, we have to understand these
days are not meant to be celebrated on social media. If we start to celebrate
these days in the right way, only then our next generation will understand how
their previous generation has gained Independence.
At least,
parents need to pass on to their children the knowledge and significance of
these days as we can preserve our history through our actions. We should
salute the National flag in front of our children at home on this day, every
year even though it has become difficult for these things to happen in school
during these online study periods but every parent should have to celebrate
26th January and 15th August with their children's at their own home, because
this is an important need to keep Independent day and Republic day alive.
